Trustee Report

Given by Jane Williams

Trustee Meeting Nov. 5, 2006

The regular monthly Trustee meeting was convened on Sunday Nov. 5, 2006 with three members present. There was not a quorum present. Several issues were discussed but no action taken on any business. Informational items present to the attending Trustees were:

    1. Basement inventory and damage assessment has been sent to the Insurance Adjustment Co.
    2. Draperies for the church parsonage have been cleaned.
    3. The church van has received some much needed repair and service.
    4. Mr. Jim Hurley has given his permission to remove the plank fencing and any woven wire fencing at the entrance off of Highway 33 that is on his property.
    5. The deadline for the church evaluation sheets has been extended until Nov. 12th

There is much needed work to be done in the Church facility and Parsonage, we are striving to place a priority on all the tasks at hand and will be asking for some help in some areas of these on going projects. We are also trying to get to some of the outside areas that need attention before the weather becomes a factor.

There will be a special called Trustee meeting on Nov. 19th in order to act on some important issues that need some immediate attention.

Trustee members present were: Harvey Voris, Lisa Waggener, Jane Williams

Respectfully submitted,

Jane Williams, Chairperson

Fellowship Ministry Team Report

Given by Irma Woodrow

We need to say "Thank You" again for the participation of the church members for the "Chili cook off", Friday, Oct. 27--especially the men. It was a great time of fellowship and food.

The Sunday Brunch was successful and the Ministry team received lots of nice compliments. Naturally we owe each of you the compliment because you furnished the food. We do appreciate the Adult Sunday School classes giving up their rooms on Sunday. This made our job easier because the youth could arrange the tables and chairs in the fellowship hall on Wednesday evening.

Please mark your calendar for Sunday, December 3, at 6:00pm. We will have our Church family and friend dinner. You are invited to bring your family and friends and join us for dinner but we do want you to sign up and tell us how many. We will divide the menu again between the Sunday School classes. The men's classes give so lovingly and generously that it has been suggested to let them furnish the meat so maybe we will ask them on Sunday.

The Fellowship Ministry Team would like to have your suggestions for the next 6 months.

It has been suggested to do an appreciation meal for our local firemen and policemen. If you have other ministry suggestions, please let one of the team members know.

Respectfully submitted,

Irma Woodrow for the Fellowship Ministry Team

Lesa & David Asbery, Bryan & Melissa Voris, Lenora & Ernest Nave, Vicki & Larry Long

Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
